1. Acceptance of terms
By using a Printex kiosk or website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. Service overview
Printex provides self-service kiosks that let users sign in, upload, pay for, and print documents with no staff on site. After you pay, your job waits until you press Print Now at the kiosk, so your pages are never left in the tray for someone else to pick up.
3. Accounts
You need to sign in with your email before printing, using a one-time code we send you. You're responsible for keeping access to that email address and for anything done from a session where you're signed in — including on a shared device. We may suspend an account we reasonably believe is being misused.
4. Your responsibilities
- You're responsible for reviewing your document before submitting it.
- Printex isn't responsible for typos, formatting issues, or resolution problems in your file.
- Use the kiosk responsibly — don't tamper with or misuse it.
5. Content guidelines
You must not upload illegal, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise unlawful content. By uploading a file, you confirm you own the rights to it or have permission to print it. We don't inspect file contents, but we'll cooperate with law enforcement where legally required.
6. Automatic file conversion
Word (.doc, .docx), PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx) and image files are automatically converted to PDF before printing. Images are fitted onto an A4 page. The converted document may differ from your original in fonts, layout, spacing, page breaks, or embedded content. The page count and price shown before payment are based on the converted file. By completing payment, you accept the converted output. Refunds are not provided for differences caused by conversion. For the best result, upload a PDF. Refunds remain available for failures on our side, as described in Section 8.
7. Payments
Printing requires full payment in advance, processed by our payment partner. Prices shown at checkout are final for that job; price changes don't affect jobs already quoted or paid for. All prints are on A4 paper.
8. Refunds for failures on our side
You're automatically refunded in full, with no action needed, when a job can't be completed because of a problem on our side — for example a printer jam, the printer going offline, or running out of paper or ink. This also applies if a job fails partway through; the full amount is refunded even if some pages were printed. Refunds are issued to the original payment method and usually take 5–7 working days to reflect, depending on your bank or payment app.
Refunds are not given for problems with your own file (corruption, wrong content, formatting), for differences caused by automatic conversion (Section 6), or for minor variations in print quality due to machine limitations.
9. Print Now window and unprinted orders
After payment, you have 20 minutes to press Print Now while at the kiosk. This window is shown before you pay.
- If the window ends without Print Now being pressed, your order expires and is refunded minus a retention of 5% of the order value plus the payment gateway's processing fee, rounded up to the next whole rupee, with a minimum of ₹1. This covers the printer, paper and ink reserved for your job and the payment fee, which our payment partner does not return. For example, on a ₹40 order ₹3 is retained and ₹37 is refunded. If the retention equals the order value (for example, a ₹1 order), no refund is due.
- If you pressed Print Now but the kiosk couldn't print at that time (for example, it was offline), or the kiosk is unavailable when your window ends, you get a full refund instead.
10. Cancellations
You can cancel a paid order before you press Print Now, from the print page or from My Orders. The same retention as in Section 9 applies, and the rest is refunded automatically. Once you've pressed Print Now, the order can't be cancelled.
11. Discounts and feedback rewards
From time to time we may offer a discount (for example, for leaving feedback on your first order) toward your next order. Discounts are single-use, non-transferable, have no cash value, cannot be combined with other offers unless stated, and are used only when an order is paid — we may change or withdraw this program at any time without notice.
12. Delivery & pickup
Service is kiosk-based — there's no delivery. Please collect your pages as soon as they're printed; we aren't responsible for printouts left at the kiosk.
13. Reporting an issue
If something goes wrong with a printed job, use "Report an issue" from your order — this creates a ticket our team reviews. We aim to follow up quickly; you can track ticket status from your account.
14. Limitation of liability
Printex isn't liable for indirect or incidental damages, misuse of the kiosk, or technical downtime beyond our reasonable control. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the job in question.
15. Privacy & data security
Files uploaded through Printex are encrypted and deleted automatically once your job is processed, cancelled, expired or abandoned. See our Privacy Policy for details, including how sign-in and cookies work.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
